Times: Camp: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Drop off after 8:00 AM, Pick up before 5:00 PM.
Cost: General Public $T.B.A.
Excalibur Family Members $T.B.A.
Attendees: Minimum 4 children, maximum eight children.
@ Chess teaches focus, decision making, following a pattern.
$ Crafts teaches fine motor skills and adhering to a pattern.
% Dance/Exersice is cadiovascular. It calms the brain and increases ability to focus.
# Drama teaches using one's imagination, expressing thoughts, cooperation (in a safe environment). The children write their own plays.
& Social Play works on social skills.
*Stress Lessons developed by Psychology Foundation of Canada.
^Structured Play teaches following instructions using games etc.
** Tai Chi teaches control over the body and mind.
Dartmouth Camps: T.B.A.
Maya Warnock has worked with children with ADHD since 2002. She has a background in child psychology & development(MSVU), school-aged care (St.Lawrence College). She wrote the book for Family School POP and teaches the course. She wrote the captions for the "Colouring Book for kids with ADHD, their siblings and friends". She ran the After School Program for children with ADHD for five years. She facilitates several support groups for people with ADHD. She is trained in Mental Health First Aid & Plan to Protect (Child abuse prevention program).
Stephen Warnock has worked with children with ADHD since 2002. He has completed the Family School POP, 3-6 year-olds and Plan to Protect. He has a valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C and Mental Health First Aid for Adults working with Youth. He is the Assistant Coach for Working Memory Program.
Both coaches are cleared by Child Abuse Registry and Police with Vulnerable Sector check.
