Anyone with a child with ADHD or anyone working with children.
Dawn-Marie MacDonald is an Early Childhood Educator (ECE). She is a single mom of a child with attention difficulties. She wants to share her experiences as well as those of other parents with children with ADHD. She believes that getting together and sharing information can be a benefit for the good of our children. Her background as an ECE is useful, however, not enough to fully understand her child’s needs and requirements due to ADHD.
There will be speakers from time to time (may have a cost).
We will also show videos about ADHD.
Watch this page for more information as it becomes available.
Having a child with ADHD is not significantly different than having a child with ex. Diabetes. One must learn special skills to look after either one. Both types of children are prescious and special and both need special care and understanding of their respective disorders. The Diabetes Association helps parents of children with Diabetes, we help parents of children with ADHD. We now know that children with ADHD can have successful lives providing they get the correct support and encouragment.
There is help but no cure for ADHD
Excalibur wishes to thank Faith Baptist Church for supplying the venue for the meetings.
