Saturday Camp for Children with ADHD 6-12 years old

 

Scool Aged 6-12 Programs

Next Camp: 

When: Saturdays April 14 to June 16, 2018 (No Camp May 19)

Where: Our Saviour's Church, 255 Portland Street corner of Hawthorne Street, Dartmouth

Time: Saturdays 9:00 AM to noon.

For Whom: Children with ADHD and their siblings aged 6-12 years old (Does not have to be diagnosed).

Program includes:

  • Crafts
  • Drama
  • Indivuidual play time
  • Dance/exercise
  • Social playtime
  • Stress Lessons
  • Tai Chi

Cost:

    • $70.00 for Excalibur Family-members
    • $80.00 for all others

Minimum registration is four (4) and maximum is eigth (8) children for the Camps to run.

Dartmouth Camp 

Preregistration required before Tuesday April 10, 2018 (Last day for refund).

Registration completed, when Camp application is forwarded and fees are paid, must be on or before April 10, 2018.

 Coach: Deborah Odell, B.A.

Deborah is a registered Early Childhood Educator (M.S.V.U.). She has an extensive work history in this field. She assisted teachers in the New Brunswick school system as coach on how to deal with challenging behaviours. She taught social skills in Nova Scotia. She is a believer in letting children learn through play incorporating science and math exploration plays to assist children in their future education.  She is a graduate of Family School POP 6-12 years old.  She is the current Child & Youth Chair on Excalibur ADHD Association Board.  

Assistant Coach: Stephen Warnock

Stephen has worked with children with ADHD since 2002. He is trained in Family School POP (3-6) & 6-12, Plan to Protect (a child abuse prevention course), Std. First Aid with CPR-C and Mental Health First Aid for Adults working with Youth. He is a trained  Working Memory coach and he is the Assistant Coach for that program. He is cleared by Child Abuse Registry & Police Department with Vulnerable Sector check.
